Upon the north shore of Lake Geneva a top a rocky crag sits Chillon, the most famous castle in Switzerland; the castle has been restored fully and contains an impressive collection of antique weapons and other such items. Visitors are free to explore on their own will take advantage of the daily guided tours which are offered all of the year round. Benefiting from the geothermal phenomena found in the area Pays de Gex is a collection of health spas, hot springs and thermal baths which are said to have healing powers. Pays de Gex is a short 15 km drive from Geneva making it one of the easier places to visit in your hire car. |
